Most of the time when we think of art related to popular culture (or the cringe-worthy term ”fan art”) we imagine annoying teens drawing drool coated pictures of Edward Cullen, or bad fantasy art featuring Harry Potter and Severus Snipe in compromising positions. What we don’t always remember is that even in the realm of fan art there are shining examples of genuine artistic skill and talent.
Today we will be featuring some of these artists, people who have created incredible paintings and illustrations inspired by maybe the most popular movie franchise ever – Star Wars.

Carrie Fisher’s Priceless Take on Wearing Leia Buns Again
At the TCA press tour panel for Carrie Fisher’s upcoming HBO autobiographical documentary “Wishful Drinking” one reporter had a question related to Star Wars and princess Leia’s famous hairstyle.
Reporter: “How does it feel to wear the buns again?”
Fisher: “Like an asshole. A complete undignified jerk off. Other than that, really good.”
