Superhero Cake
Not sure what flavor it is and what Marvel and DC think about this little intermingling but we don’t care. It looks awesome and we want a slice!
Go Out and Be Proud – Saturday is Read Comics in Public Day!
This Saturday, all around the globe comic book fans will have an opportunity to show their hidden passion openly and without shame to the world as it is officially ”Read Comics in Public” Day.
Read Comics in Public Day is the brainchild of Sarah Morean and Brian Heater, who run The Daily Cross Hatch :
“The concept is fairly simple: we’re asking that everyone take an hour or two out of their day on August 28th (also the birthday of Jack “King” Kirby, incidentally) to read a comic book in a public setting—a park bench, a beach, a bus, the front steps of your local library (we do ask, however, that you be mindful of local loitering laws). Let strangers see you reading a piece of sequential art.”
So grab a stack of comics on Saturday and head outside, it’s time to freak out normal people!

Minimalist Heroes: The Art of Mark Grambau
Graphic artist Mark Grambau has made an amazing set of minimalist superhero posters. In my opinion, these beat a lot of the stuff we see coming out of Hollywood hands down. Green Lantern and Wolverine are especially amazing, but none of the others are too far behind.
