Street art gets a bad rap because it’s so often associated with graffiti and vandalism. The public perception has changed a little bit over the last few years due more than anything to the fact that Banksy has been in the global spotlight so much, and people who would not normally consider it art are now seeing it from a different point of view. Banksy is, of course, just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, as there are untold numbers of extremely talented artists all over the world creating art on the walls and streets of their cities. Some of them do it to send a political or social message, others have a more humoristic point of view, and some just want to show off their painting skills. Here are just a few of them.
